What We Did

Greenway Treecare was approached by Tewkesbury Park Golf Course to help manage several veteran Oak trees that were becoming a potential hazard to golfers. Our task was to sensitively prune these ancient trees, preserving their heritage value while ensuring the safety of the public.

Project Details

The golf course needed assistance with the management of their ancient Oak trees, which were situated above an area frequented by golfers. As part of our duty of care, we were tasked with pruning the trees to make them safe while maintaining their health and historical significance for future generations.

Service Provided

Greenway Treecare conducted a detailed tree survey and provided expert advice on the required works. Following a successful planning application with the Local Authority, our fully equipped and insured team, including a climber and two groundsmen, carried out the necessary pruning. This included end weight reduction on some overextended limbs and the removal of unstable deadwood, ensuring the trees were safe and healthy.

Timeline

After the initial site visit, we submitted a planning application to the Local Authority, which took six weeks for approval. Our team then returned the following week to complete the works.

Duration

The tree works were completed in just one day, with minimal disruption to the golf course and its members.

Client Satisfaction

The client expressed their gratitude for the efficient, safe, and timely work carried out by Greenway Treecare. They were particularly pleased with the minimal disruption to the course, and we have since been invited back to undertake further tree reduction projects.
