Greenway Groundworks was brought in to assist with a garden room build by designing and pouring a concrete pad, complete with drainage and necessary site services.
Project Details
A contractor for a garden room project required us to design and install a concrete pad, along with the installation of site services such as drainage, mains water, and electricity. This would serve as the foundation for the garden room.
Service Provided
Our team at Greenway Groundworks produced a set of drawings for the concrete pad, which were approved by the client. We then attended the site with our fully equipped and insured groundworks team. To ensure the area was safe for excavation, we conducted a CAT scan to detect any buried services in the proposed dig area. Following this, we excavated for the sub-base, which was laid with compacted hardcore on TERAM. Soil pipes, mains water, and armoured cable were installed as per the drawings, followed by the installation of shuttering. We laid insulation and DPM, and the concrete was pumped in by one of our trusted sub-contractors.
Timeline
The initial site visit took place in January, with the works carried out in February.

The project was completed in 5 days.
